“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King
At the heart of Climate Tribe—a child-site community of the Climate Change Community—is the vision of forging a Green Way Forward dedicated to collective action and transformative change.
For years, I’ve immersed myself not only in articles about the climate crisis but also in the global conversations they spark. Unfortunately, a troubling trend has emerged: discussions often devolve into negativity, hopelessness, and disrespect. Instead of fostering solutions, they sometimes become arenas for hate speech and divisiveness.
While there are insightful comments and innovative ideas out there, the prevalence of negative discourse is alarming. This underscores the need for not just a New Way Forward but a Green Way Forward.
Introducing Climate Tribe
Climate Tribe (climatetribe.com) seeks to transform the narrative around climate action by building a community grounded in kindness, respect, and collaboration. If you’re interested in learning more, I invite you to read the blog posts I’ve shared here at eXit235.com, which detail how we can move forward together through this platform.
We’re currently welcoming our first group of members, including potential Founding Members, moderators, climate organizations, Climate Justice Advocates, and Climate Warriors. Our goal is to cultivate a supportive and proactive community committed to addressing the Climate and Ecological Emergency seriously.
Climate Tribe is a Global Tribe
Our mission is to empower people worldwide with climate knowledge, fostering a space where we can learn together and protect our children’s future. Climate Tribe is more than just a networking platform; it’s a place where we can collaborate to become more adaptive and resilient in the face of environmental challenges.
I believe that by sharing ideas—like those in the manuscript I’ve been working on since 2016—and through our Adaptive Resiliency mini-community, we can make a meaningful impact. If you’re interested in exploring these concepts further, consider signing up for our Basic Plan.
Our Community Goals
-
Globally Network: Connect with others who share your interests, work, goals, and passions. Building a network of like-minded individuals strengthens our collective impact.
-
Learn Together or Individually: Engage in self-directed learning or group discussions through our sustainable-minded book club and other mini-communities within the platform.
-
Support Each Other: Once we reach a certain membership threshold, we’ll implement programs to provide financial assistance to members affected by the Climate and Ecological Emergency. We believe in using our resources to help fellow humans in need.
-
Engage in Meaningful Dialogue: Open, respectful dialogue is essential for developing adaptive resiliency measures, projects, education, and policies. We’ll focus on advanced listening skills to facilitate healthy debates and collaborative problem-solving.
-
Embrace AI: By integrating AI into our efforts, we can enhance our solutions and move forward more effectively. We encourage members to work alongside AI and recognize its potential in addressing climate challenges.
