PRIVATE NOTE:

Addressing Challenges and Strengthening Our Resolve

Greed and the relentless pursuit of power can drive individuals—even those who profess strong religious convictions—to engage in insidious and harmful actions against those striving to protect our children’s future. This is deeply discouraging, but it must not lead us to give up, stop, or become complacent. We must remain steadfast in our mission, recognizing that obstacles often come in many forms, including technological attacks such as hacking, denial-of-service (DoS) assaults, and man-in-the-middle intrusions.

To counter these threats, I’ve established a Tech Café within the Basic Plan at Climate Tribe. This space is dedicated to empowering our members with the knowledge and tools to enhance their online security. By delving into cybersecurity practices together, we can protect ourselves and our community from those who seek to undermine our efforts.

The fossil fuel industry, as we know it, is determined to extract every last ounce of oil and gas from the earth. This relentless extraction poses a dire threat to all of us—starting with our children, the elderly, the disabled, impoverished communities, and even our beloved pets. This is not an exaggeration; it is a stark reality we must confront. Alongside environmental degradation, there is a troubling trend toward dismantling our education system, a tactic that keeps the masses uneducated and trapped in poverty.

In response, I’ve also established a Book Club Lab within Climate Tribe. This initiative allows every member to host their own reading and discussion sessions on selected books focusing on self-improvement, environmental issues, and scientific knowledge. By fostering education and critical thinking, we empower ourselves and others to challenge misinformation and take informed action. Please note that we focus on secular materials to maintain an inclusive and fact-based environment.

Exciting developments are on the horizon for both of our communities. Soon, I will be upgrading both clubs with innovative features designed to enhance collaboration and effectiveness. I invite you to join now and work alongside me to accelerate our progress. While I anticipate resistance from the fossil fuel sector and anti-science groups—forces I’ve been contending with since 2013—I am well-prepared to handle these challenges. I am confident that, in time, even some of those who currently oppose us will recognize the urgency of our cause and join our efforts, especially as climate events like intensifying heatwaves make the reality impossible to ignore.

I am available to engage in dialogue through video conferencing with anyone interested in discussing these critical issues. To attend a meeting, please send a request to events@climatetribe.com. For personal communication prior to our meeting, feel free to reach out to me directly at tito@climatetribe.com. Please note that for security reasons, I typically do not open emails containing links or that appear suspicious. You can read more about my cybersecurity practices on my personal site.

Additional Resources and Cybersecurity Measures

Lastly, I invite you to explore the wealth of content available on our supplementary site, CliTribe (clitribe.com). While I’ve owned this domain for some time, it remained unpopulated until now. I’ve recently developed it as a backup and overflow platform for several crucial reasons.

As previously indicated, in an age where cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated—ranging from hacking attempts to denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and man-in-the-middle intrusions—it’s imperative to have contingency plans to protect our community and maintain uninterrupted access to vital information. CliTribe serves as a resilient safeguard against such potential disruptions, ensuring that our mission continues unabated even when other sites experience technical issues or security challenges.

At CliTribe, you’ll in time find a growing collection of blog posts, resources, and discussions that mirror and complement the content on our primary platforms. This site is part of our broader cybersecurity strategy, designed to enhance our collective adaptive resiliency by providing multiple channels for communication and collaboration.

By visiting and engaging with CliTribe, you’re not only accessing valuable information but also contributing to a robust network that can withstand external pressures. This redundancy is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our initiatives and for fostering a community that remains connected, informed, and empowered regardless of external circumstances.

I encourage you to bookmark CliTribe and check back regularly for updates. Your active participation across our platforms strengthens our collective ability to respond to challenges and advances our shared goal of creating a sustainable, thriving future.

Let’s unite our strengths and work together toward a sustainable future.

Warm regards,

See you on the inside…

It was recently brought to my attention—indirectly—that perhaps I no longer need to continue building these community spaces and platforms, as most states already have established policies and systems in place to address the Climate and Ecological Emergency. According to this perspective, third-party organizations or smaller climate-focused businesses may not be necessary.

If this turns out to be the case, I will still pursue my ideas and projects as originally planned. However, I will scale back on public promotion and posting. Instead, I will keep these efforts more private, sharing content only with those who actively choose to subscribe. That being said, I won’t be distributing content as freely or widely in this case.

However, let me be clear: I am not altering my mission because of this feedback. It is difficult for me to believe that the work we’re doing—focused on tackling the Climate and Ecological Emergency—might not be needed. Even if the need for these platforms is in question, the urgency of the Climate crisis remains, and I will continue to contribute to this cause as best as I can.
