Yes, some of what I’m saying may sound like a broken record, but the truth is that sometimes repetition is the only way to get through to people. The warnings have been loud and clear for decades—from climate scientists, environmental experts, the IPCC, the United Nations, ethical media outlets, grassroots organizations, climate justice activists, and so many others. And yet, we still find ourselves in a race against time, with no one at the wheel.
My heart is heavy with worry for our future. I’ve personally committed myself to climate action—stepping up my own efforts, diving deeper into reflection, learning everything I can, and actively participating in training and discussions. But it’s not enough to just think about the problem. We need everyone to engage, to understand the full weight of what’s happening, and to be moved into action.
I urge you, with all sincerity, to take the time to learn. Start by watching climate webinars or Zoom meetings on YouTube, or explore TED Talks that delve into the science and solutions of this crisis. But don’t stop there—go beyond the surface. We are facing a future where survival will demand extraordinary measures, and even then, may not be guaranteed.
